The Dart 18 Worlds have come to an end after the final day’s racing was cancelled due to the weather. Eight out of ten races were completed, with two GBR boats making it onto the podium. Grant Piggott and Ella May Piggott secured 2nd place overall, while David Lloyd and JoJo Trafford finished 3rd. The winners of the Dart 18 Worlds were Italians Andrea Tramutola and Marco Tramutola.
It was a great week of sailing enjoyed by all, although high winds, fierce surf, and thunderstorms made it particularly challenging. It is sure to be a Worlds to remember.
RYYC’s Team Franks finished in a respectable 23rd place overall, marking Joe’s best Worlds result to date. Kieran did an exceptional job crewing in tough conditions. Well done, both of you!
